Description

If you've ever stared at a perfectly marbled slice of A5 and thought "I would wear this" — we made something for you. The I Love Wagyu Unisex Softstyle Tee is our way of letting the obsession go public. Soft enough that you'll actually wear it, not just own it. Made from 100% ring-spun cotton in solid colors, it's the kind of shirt that feels broken-in from day one.

This is merch for people who have strong opinions about marbling scores and know the difference between BMS 9 and BMS 12. Wear it to the farmers market, the butcher counter, or your next backyard cook — anywhere fellow believers will recognize the calling.

Why We Love It

Wagyu isn't just a product category for us — it's the reason The Meatery exists. We started because we believed people deserved access to the real thing: authenticated Japanese A5, properly sourced American Wagyu, and the kind of transparency that actually tells you which farm, which prefecture, which animal. So when we made merch, it wasn't going to be a logo tee. It had to be a statement.

"I Love Wagyu" is a declaration. It's for the person who's done the research, eaten the steak, and now evangelizes at dinner parties. It's for the home cook who temperature-probes their reverse sear at 125°F and rests it like a professional. It's for anyone who understands that the fat in Wagyu melts at a lower temperature than your own body heat — and finds that fact genuinely thrilling.

100% ring-spun cotton for solid colors — soft without being flimsy

Light 4.5 oz fabric — wears well in warm kitchens and at outdoor cooks

Ribbed collar that won't curl after washing

Reinforced shoulders with twill tape — because durability matters

True-to-size unisex fit — works for everyone in the household who shares your obsession

What makes thE MEATERY different?

The Meatery stands out by combining tradition with innovation. Our butchers bring decades of expertise, carefully preparing each cut to perfection. From rare heritage breeds to custom aging techniques, we go the extra mile to bring you unique flavors and textures you won’t find elsewhere. Plus, our commitment to transparency means you always know the story behind your food.

How should I cook it?

How to Care for Your Tee (So You Can Keep Wearing It to Every Cook)

This isn't a cut of meat, so we'll skip the cast iron advice — but the shirt does need a little care if you want it to outlast your next Wagyu dinner party phase (which, let's be honest, isn't ending anytime soon).

Machine wash cold — hot water breaks down the ring-spun cotton fibers faster and can shrink the fit

Tumble dry low or hang dry — high heat is the enemy of a good tee, same as it is for a Wagyu strip loin

Do not iron directly on the print — turn the shirt inside out if you iron, or just don't iron it because it's a casual tee and you're at a cookout

No bleach — it'll wreck the color and the print, and nobody wants a faded declaration of love

The DTG (direct-to-garment) print holds up well with cold washing and low heat drying. Treat the first few washes as the "settling in" phase — same philosophy as seasoning a cast iron pan. It only gets better with use.

some of our favorite Items

Australian Wagyu | Picanha I MS 8-9 | 4.5-5.5avg - The Meatery

Picanha

Also known as the Coulotte, the Picanha is a very popular cut in churrasco dishes and is gaining recognition in America.

It is amazing because of the incredibly buttery fat cap which is absolutely meant to be consumed and not trimmed off. What makes this great is the meat happens to also be incredibly marbled as you can see.

Ibérico pork | Secreto Steak - The Meatery

Iberico Pork

Iberico pork, which comes from Spain, is an incredible eating experience. Unlike American pork, you can consume this pork rare or higher.

It has an incredible nutty flavor that is hard to describe and really just needs to be experienced. It is one of our absolute favorite items that we sell.

Ora King Salmon

Ora King salmon, raised in the pristine waters of New Zealand, is the absolute pinnacle of farmed salmon. With vibrant marbling and a rich, buttery texture, it eats more like Wagyu beef than traditional fish.

Its flavor is incredibly clean, delicate yet decadent, and absolutely unforgettable. Whether served raw, lightly seared, or gently roasted, Ora King is one of those rare ingredients that stops you in your tracks.
