This is Nick's invention, NOBODY else has a steak like this. 100% Authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu "Rib Cap" steak at a CRAZY price. 
This is cut from the "Rib Cap" or "Lifter" portion of the rib and IS NOT a Spinalis Dorsi steak, FYI. 
Expect this steak to be phenomenally marbled and more chewy than A5 Wagyu Ribeye. We personally love it because it "eats" like an American steak but has the insane marbling that only Japanese A5 Wagyu has. It does great seared after a sous vide or reverse sear, and we bet it would even taste good on the smoker if you were feeling frisky.

Cooking Tip:

Because the Rib Cap is cut from above the Ribeye (Lifter Meat) it is a grainier cut. We find the best preparation of this beautiful cut is a slightly slower cook, either in a Sous Vide for 2-4 hours or reverse seared with a sear finish.

I love steak. I love Ribeye more than Filet. I cooked my steak for lunch and took it with me back to my desk. I work from home. I was so grateful I had no interruptions because this wonderful, melt in your mouth slice of heaven stopped me cold. So good. So tender. So satisfying. I had no idea. So very happy. I've ordered more to go with a American Caviar tasting party. This is going to be amazing!!!

Awesome steak

It was an awesome steak. Very difficult to compare to a 'normal' steak because it's very different. I will say this: I ordered wagyu steak at a high end restaurant, and it's nothing like what I received. This really stood out as a different steak. I am not saying I got ripped off at the restaurant - but this cut was wildly superior. If I ever order wagyu steak again, I will 100% make it at home and not order at a restaurant. I was freaked out about over-cooking, but the directions are 100% right - it is very hard to do that. It was definitely a unique experience. I am looking forward to trying australian and american wagyu next! The packaging was awesome, too. There was no styrofoam - instead they use materials that are of equal quality to styrofoam and ice pack chemicals, but they are very much renewable and recyclable. I thought that was awesome. Beginning to end, very, very good experience. Exceeded my expectations!

Thanks for your review Carlos. The steaks you are comparing are different. Theirs are spinalis and not Japanese A5 Wagyu whereas ours are Cap Steak (which we specifically mention is not the spinalis, but the lifter above it). Regardless, I am glad you found the product very good.

A5 Wagyu Rib Cap

First time I’ve ever had. Honestly, it’s the best fat I’ve ever had. You cannot eat the entire piece in one sitting just because it’s pretty much 95% fat. Enjoyed it very much, but not something I’d eat on a regular basis.
