Japanese Wagyu A5 Wagyu | Block Cut New York Strip | 8-9oz

Cooking Tip:

The easiest and most predictable way to cook Japanese A5 Wagyu is to sear vertically-cut strips in a stainless steel or cast iron pan at medium-high heat. Trim a piece of fat from the edges of your steak and use it to pre-grease your pan. Cut the steak into 2 finger width strips and lay your first strip into your hot pan. Sear this piece for 15-20 seconds per side (depending on thickness) for a Medium Rare temperature. Examine your first cooked strip and make any necessary adjustments for personal preference. Season lightly with salt and enjoy!

HOW IS THE MEAT SHIPPED?

We ship using 2nd Day Express Air, typically UPS. We only ship on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to ensure weekday delivery. Your meat is safely packed in a sturdy cooler box and kept cold with a combination of gel packs and dry ice. Usually the meat arrives frozen, but some thawing is totally normal and the meat can be safely refrozen.

A5 heaven

I have never had A5 Wagyu before and both my wife and I found this delicious, tender beyond words. I’d say an outta body experience. We used the reverse sear method on our grill and it turned out amazing.

I have never believed that the overall value for A5 Waygu was comparable to grass fed or dry aged steaks and consequently never purchase it. This steak was graciuosly gifted with my purchase of $350 or more so I was eager to try it.

I can say as a lifelong, steak eating son of a butcher that I was very impressed with the flavor and texture of this steak. So much so that I will be buying it in future orders from The Meatery.
